After the Galaxy Tab S, Samsung is all set to roll out the second generation Galaxy Tab S2. Released with two variants of 8-inch (SM-T710) and 9.7-inch (SM-T810), the Tab S2 is expected to be thinner than Apple’s iPad Air 2 and will probably address processor and design issues found in previous designs.
Like the original in the Galaxy Tab series, the Tab S2 will also feature a Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 4:3 with an almost unnoticeable pixel drop to 2048×1536 pixels, down from 2560×1600 pixels in the original Tab S.
The devices will again emphasize Samsung’s move from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon to its homegrown Exynos Chipsets, likely an Exynos 5433 subject to upgrade to Exynos 7420 since the tablets running the Android 5.0 out of box will require 64-bit processing which is unavailable on the 5433. This along with 3 GB of RAM, provides plenty of processing power while 32GB of  internal memory coupled with a microSD slot give access to ample storage capacity.
The front and rear snappers remain the same with 8MP and 2.1MP capacities respectively and the tablets are expected to have dimensions of  198.2×134.5×5 and 237.1×168.8×5.4 for the 8 and 9.7 inch models respectively.
Body wise, the Galaxy Tab S2 tablets are likely to feature a part body to full body metallic frame, full metallic bodies seem a distinct possibility for Samsung to match iPad air in terms of dimensions. If Samsung does opt for a full metal body, it will be a first since the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and we might be in for a design treat.
Stay tuned!
