It was only a few days ago that Samsung made the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 official, and now it seems the screen size will be taken up a notch to 8-inches on the device with the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, specs of which have leaked via a GLBenchmark benchmark.
A Galaxy Tab 8.0 was mentioned in the leaked tablet portfolio of Samsung’s, though it mentioned a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while the benchmarks lists a meager 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz Exynos processor (no mention of how many cores) with a Mali-400 MP GPU according to the benchmark and is running on Android 4.2.2, so despite the low resolution it should right up there with the Galaxy Note S3 and Note 2 in terms of horsepower.
According to Sammobile, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is also expected to sport a 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 2GB of RAM and a 4,500 mAh battery, though none of these specs can be confirmed at this point. The device will measure 209.6 x 112.1 x 6.95 mm and weighs around 330 grams, making it just slightly heavier than Apple’s iPad Mini.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is mentioned as having model number SM-T311, which makes it a logical successor to the Tab 3 7.0 with model number SM-T211. Neither pricing nor release dates are known yet, but I’m sure we’ll get those details in due time.
Are you getting as tired as we are of Samsung’s flooding of the market with so many devices?
