Samsung is seeding out the Nougat update to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge units in Philippines now. The confirmation came in the form of a tweet from Samsung Philippines’ Twitter handle.

Although the software version of the Android 7.0 Nougat OS hitting Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices in the Philippines is not known, what is evident is that the new OS installs lot many new features in the Galaxy phones and also brings with it the latest Android security patch and system enhancements.

The Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had been circulating around for quite a while now. Samsung released the new Android Nougat OS update for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners in Taiwan as well in the middle of this month.

Notably, the two devices- S7 and S7 Edge have also started receiving the February security patch update as an OTA. Arriving as build QB7, the full build version is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes as build number G930FXXU1DQB7 for the Galaxy S7, while that for Galaxy S7 Edge it arrives as G935FXXU1DQB7.

You can download the update by heading over to Settings » About device » System Updates. Before hitting download, ensure your device has at least 50% charge and connected to a WiFi. Also make sure that all of your important data has been backed up.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing MWC event, Samsung has made heads turn with the official launch of Galaxy Tab S3. It also confirmed the Galaxy S8 launch date via a teaser video.
