Samsung is acclaimed for the launch of the Galaxy S6 and its edge variant earlier this week at the MWC 2015 tech show. Well, the handsets have a great design with the implementation of metal and glass and they are great powerhouses with the latest 14nm Exynos 7420 processors. But, apart from these aspects, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge house several enhanced features such as an improved fingerprint scanner.
The fingerprint scanner on the latest Samsung offerings is integrated into the home button of the handsets. They are not the swipe based ones as in the Galaxy S5 and they have a better touch iteration. Also, the latest fingerprint scanner can verify your Samsung account, make payments via PayPal and used for easy web sign-ins for those sites that support it. It will soon receive an update that will let users to pay using the firm’s Samsung Pay mobile payment system as well.
Well, the fingerprint scanner can help in securely sorting the login credentials for future use in your phone’s browser. Once you open a specific website on which you will have to login, you will have to simply scan your finger and the software will auto fill the form without much efforts. You need not type the login credentials anymore if you are using the Galaxy S6.
This works efficiently as the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge will ask you if it has to store the credentials to use the fingerprint scanner to validate future logins. Whenever you visit a website for the first time from your smartphone, you will have to authenticate the same.
