Lately, there are talks about a device that could be launched in August and it is likely called Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. This device is said to arrive with the support RAW photography. This feature is missing in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge even after the rollout of the highly anticipated Android 5.1.1 update to the T-mobile version of the devices.
As per a SamMobile report citing insider information, the South Korean tech giant is expected to bring the support for RAW photography with the launch of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The sources say that this device will be a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Also, it is stated that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be the first Samsung device to come with a fix to the RAM management issues.
Given that the support for the RAW photography is brought in by the Android 5.0 Lollipop, it is weird to see that Samsung has not enabled this feature that is a highly regarded one by the smartphone photography buffs. The report claims that Samsung will not fix the RAM management bug in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge until the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is launched.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is likely to arrive with a 5.7 inch display and feature dual rounded edges as in the Galaxy S6 Edge. As of now, none of the other aspects of this upcoming smartphone are known. As the device is expected to be launched in the third quarter, we can expect to hear more about the same soon.
