Samsung has finally started to seed the Android 7.0 Nougat update to some international Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users. We have received tips and screenshots stating that the Nougat update is currently rolling it in Europe.

We expected Samsung to start releasing the Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge in the beginning of March, and it looks like that’s the case. The new software version with Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S6 is G920FXXU5EQBG and the size of the update is about 1.4GB.

As for the Galaxy S6 Edge, the new software version is G925FXXU5EQBG and is also 1.4GB in size. The updates are currently available via OTA. Other software versions are also available for European variants.

After delivering the Nougat update for almost all variants of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung has finally started focusing on the S6 series. Although it’s late, users will enjoy the Nougat update with the new UX, and all the new features, improvements, etc.

Unfortunately, the update doesn’t include features such as Change screen resolution (DPI) or a Performance mode, which were available on the Galaxy S7 Nougat update. Anyway, before installing the update, make sure your device has more than 50 percent charge and is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
