Back in 2014, the South Korean tech firm Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 Active with rugged features. The same will happen this year as the firm is prepping the Galaxy S6 Active smartphone.
Lately, we have seen the specifications of the Galaxy S6 Active getting leaked creating speculations about the device. Now, there is information in the form of an image confirming that the Galaxy S6 Active exists.
While the official launch of the smartphone is yet to happen, the Galaxy S6 Active has been spotted at an inventory listing at AT&T with the model number SM-G890. This hints that the popular US carrier will be selling the device once it is made official later this year.
As per the existing rumors, the Galaxy S6 Active will arrive with a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a Quad HD screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the device is said to use the Exynos 7420 octa core chipset with 3 GB of RAM as in the Galaxy S6. The other aspects that are in the speculations include 32 GB of storage space that might be expandable with the micro SD card, a 16 MP main snapper, a 5 MP secondary shooter and a mammoth 3,500 mAh battery.
