Not very long ago, Samsung updated its high end devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop. So, if you own a Galaxy S5 or a Note 3 or 4, you would have received the update by now. But, don’t you think it’s about time that Samsung started updating its mid-range devices too? Like the Galaxy S5 Mini, for instance.
Looks like Samsung finally took that into consideration as it recently announced that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would get Android 5.0 Lollipop soon in the second quarter of the year. So, if you own one, you will most likely receive the update sometime between April and June.
The Galaxy S5 Mini looks similar to the mainstream Galaxy S5 except that it has a smaller screen than the latter. It is dust proof and water resistant, sporting an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and a 4.5 inch 720p display. The device used to run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat before but it’s about to get better with the new OS which is sure to bring many new features to it.
