The Galaxy S3 has certainly been a huge success for Samsung, selling 20 million units in 100 days, becoming T-Mobile’s best-selling smartphone, and basically being a big hit with consumers, all thanks to being a great overall device that was as innovative in its hardware as it was in its software.

So it will not come as a surprise that the Galaxy S3 has won the award of best smartphone of the year, in the T3 Gadget Awards, beating the likes of the HTC One X, iPhone 4S, and the Nokia Lumia 900, for having “a range of amazing features that push the envelope of phone technology.” Considering that Samsung was able to cram every hardware feature in the Galaxy S3 and also added some useful (and some gimmicky) software features, we might see it get more awards for being the best overall smartphone.

What do you think about the Galaxy S3? We know many people aren’t fond of its design or the plastic-y construction, but in everyday use the Galaxy S3 is quite a comfortable and rugged device, so please keep your hate for its looks aside and let us know your opinion about Samsung’s best-selling Android smartphone!
