For the past four years, Samsung has been following a similar launch pattern for the Galaxy Note phablet lineup. The devices were launched at the IFA tech show in Berlin year after year. If the same is followed this year, we are four months away from the launch of the Galaxy Note 5.
As the firm’s latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S6 came with the curved display variant Galaxy S6 Edge with the same premiumness, it is common for us to expect the same to be carried out during the launch of the Note 4 sequel. But, it seems to be a different case with the phablet, claims a report.
As per the sources, Samsung might be in plans to launch a single model of the Galaxy Note 5 that is packed with high-end aspects that could be expected from the flagship device. It is likely that the Note 5 will arrive with a 2K or 4K UHD display, larger chunk of RAM and premium build quality. It is also said that the device will feature the Exynos 7422 chipset that will house the processor, graphics unit and RAM on the same chip.
Apart from the Galaxy Note 5, there will be a successor to the Galaxy Note Edge, but the device is said to be codenamed Project Zen and it is said to feature a curved AMOLED display.
The alleged Galaxy Note Edge 2 will not be high-end as the Note 5 claims the report suggesting that it will boast of a 5.4 inch or 5.5 inch AMOLED curved panel bending on both the sides as in the S6 Edge. It is likely to feature a hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset, 16 GB of native storage space and support S Pen. It also said to include a 16 MP main snapper with optical image stabilization and an 8 MP selfie snapper at its front.
