The Galaxy Note 4 phablet that was launched at the IFA 2014 tech show last year received the Android Lollipop update a couple of weeks back. Basically, the users of the device in Brazil, India, USA, UAE and Europe received the new firmware lately and the others will soon receive it.
Now, it appears like it is the time for the dual SIM variant of the device, called Galaxy Note 4 Duos to get this Lollipop treatment. Notably, the dual SIM Note 4 is available exclusively in the China and Hong Kong markets. This device has received the OTA firmware of Android Lollipop in both the regions.
The OTA update for the Galaxy Note 4 Duos measures around 1 GB in size and it needs about 3 GB of free space in the device to get installed properly. It is for the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop version and also brings the latest TouchWiz launcher and optimizations.
If you are in China or Hong Kong and you are eagerly waiting to update your Galaxy Note 4 Duos to this build, you can head to the Settings menu and check for the update.
