We’ve had mixed reports about the release date of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the 2017 Samsung Galaxy J3, with one from the recent past pointing to August 31st as the expected Oreo release date. However, this report was rather specific to the Turkish market, which, from the recent past, we know has been among the last markets to get Oreo updates.

This has indeed been confirmed by reports surfacing from Europe’s Russia and the United Arab Emirates, where users of the Galaxy J3 2017 say they are receiving Android 8.0 Oreo as part of the latest update that also installs the June 2018 security patch.
