Well, to be frank, even though the C7 and C7 Pro are amazing smartphones — bringing the glory of Samsung smartphone in metal — the situation looks pretty dull on the software update front. But all is not lost as the duo often receives irregular updates, which means you must grab one whenever it comes your way.

Having been launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and somehow found their way to Android 8.0 Oreo, there is no going past the latter OS for the C7 duo. Oreo was their second and last major OS upgrade, meaning Pie will only be a dream for the Galaxy C7 and C7 Pro. At this point in time, we can only hope that custom ROMs such as LineageOS 16 and others will include support for these two. Let’s join in hands in hope, folks!

Samsung One UI
Given that Samsung won’t be rolling out official Pie updates to the Galaxy C7 and C7 Pro, there similarly won’t be an official update to One UI for the duo, the successor to Samsung Experience that was launched recently. Also, we don’t expect the developer community to suddenly get active with respect to the C7 One UI update, so don’t get your hopes too high. Still, we will update this page just in case anything changes.
