Samsung has officially announced a new 9 series chipset today, called the Exynos 9810. The new processor is faster and smarter than before with features such as gigabit LTE modem, AI-powered image processing, and deep learning, and much more.

The Exynos 9810 is built using the 2nd-gen 10nm FinFET process by Samsung. The processor has also been selected for the CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree. According to the company, the chipset can be used in the automotive industry as well.

It features four high power CPU cores clocked at 2.9GHz and another four low-power cores, providing a 40 percent improvement in multi-core performance and 2x single core performance when compared to the Exynos 8895 chipset.

The chipset also has separate security processing unit that saves information from the iris, facial, and fingerprint scanners. The Cat.18 LTE model supports up to 1.2Gbps download and 200 Mbps upload, with the ability to broadcast and stream UHD and 360-degree videos. Thanks to the faster visual processing, the chipset can also provide better stabilization in 4K videos, improve low-light photography, and also playback 4K at 120fps.

According to Samsung, the Exynos 9810 is already in mass production. We believe that the Samsung Galaxy S9 would be the first to use this chipset as we have heard several rumors about this.
