With Apple, Amazon and Google having already unveiled their smart speakers and Facebook reportedly working on theirs, Samsung has for a while been said to be working on its own version, too, powered by Bixby and will be ready in the second half of 2018.
This is according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, but at the moment, the details of the exact release date as well as features and price of the said Samsung Bixby speaker are still thin. However, Samsung says it will be targeting the premium market.

Given Samsung’s push into the Internet of Things and the smart home, it’s nothing strange to see such reports popping up. If anything, it’ll be interesting to see how Samsung handles its debut in a market that is already dominated by Alexa and Google Assistant.
