Samsung begins rolling out June security patch with latest Galaxy A3 2017 update

Samsung may not have the best delivery time when it comes to major software updates, but the South-Korean tech giant is surely pushing forward this time around. After the initial delay in releasing Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung has been pushing out the Android 8.0 update in droves for devices like the Galaxy A3 2017 edition as well, starting with users in Europe and India.

But the Oreo update is not the only delight that the users seem to be receiving from Samsung, as it is among the very first Android OEM devices to get the latest security update for June this week. The software update carrying build number A320FLXXU2CRE3 brings a bunch of security fixes from Google, along with certain Samsung-specific patches as well.

Released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Galaxy A3 2017 edition has received two major software updates of Android now, which makes it one of the select few mid-range devices that get such software support.
