The much awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is now finally coming to the Sprint HTC One M8. The yellow carrier has just put up full RUU for software version 6.20.651.3 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the device, available for everyones flashing pleasures.
The OTA update rollout hasn’t yet begun, but we’re hopeful that Sprint will get things rolling over-the-air as well by the end of this week or early next week.
As for the root related concerns (which go with almost every Android update), luckily for us, Chainfire’s systemless root does the job efficiently and roots Marshmallow with a single zip flash from the TWRP recovery.
The systemless root has already been tested on the international HTC One M8 devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and so it’ll work with the Sprint M8 variant as well.
To root Sprint M8 Marshmallow firmware, just grab the latest SuperSU beta zip from the download link below and flash it via TWRP recovery.

Have fun with your rooted Sprint M8 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Cheers!
Happy Androiding!
