Xiaomi is now rolling out Marshmallow update to the company’s current flagship, the Mi 4. The update is coming in shortly after the Chinese manufacturer rolled it out to the Mi Note devices.

Interestingly, the Mi 4 is directly getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update, keeping in line with the latest build of Android by Google.

For the folks among us concerned about root access on the Mi 4 Marshmallow update, well, thanks to Chainfire, it’s easier than ever to get root on Marshmallow as long as you have a custom recovery like TWRP installed on your device.

To root Mi 4 Marshmallow update, all you need to do is flash the latest SuperSU beta zip via TWRP or any custom recovery of your choice, and you’ll get root.

Chainfire’s latest SuperSU beta comes with an auto boot patcher which allows for a systemless root install on your Marshmallow running device without compromising the security of the device by keeping SELinux running in enforcing mode only.

You can grab the latest SuperSU beta zip from the download link below and simply flash it via a custom recovery of your choice.
