Xiaomi has a new MIUI 10.0.5 stable update for users of the Redmi Note 6 Pro. The handset hasn’t been around for long and is already receiving plenty of love from the Chinese vendor, with the previous MIUI 10.0.4 update having arrived two weeks ago.
The new MIUI 10.0.5.0.OEKMIFH update is available for a limited set of Redmi Note 6 Pro units for precautionary purposes such that in case something wrong the number of cases to deal with is small. If all goes according to plan, a wider rollout should begin over the weekend, so be patient if you are yet to receive the OTA download notification.

We don’t have the full changelog, but part of it says you get fixes for issues where carrier name was displayed with no SIM card installed and the system crashed in some cases. There is no change in the security patch level, which remains at October 2018.
