Xiaomi Global VP and Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain, took to Twitter to announce the grand success of the first Redmi Note 6 Pro flash sale in India on the occasion that’s now popularly known as Black Friday. His tweet mentions that over 6 lakh (0.6 million) units of the phone were sold out in minutes!
He also mentions in his tweet that they’re arranging for more stock to sell in their next flash sale which, surprisingly, is happening today itself at 3 PM, barely three hours after the first flash sale. This comes as a huge surprise since this is the first time Xiaomi is holding two flash sales for the same device in a day.

To recall, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro phone which has already sold over 50 lakh (5 million) units ever since its release in February earlier this year. Looking at current trends and consumer enthusiasm, the successor may well be equally successful in capturing public attention despite carrying very few upgrades from its predecessor.
