Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones feature the highest rated camera in the world. That’s according to the ratings by DxOMark, and it is pretty much accurate. The Pixel 2, although it has a single rear camera, takes some amazing photos both in daylight and low-light.

Both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL feature the same rear camera. Google has included a 12.2MP setup with f/1.8 aperture, large 1.4μm lens, laser/dual pixel phase detection auto-focus, and electronic + optical image stabilization. The camera system is backed by a chipset of its own, called the Pixel Visual Core, which the company will enable in Android 8.1.

The camera has the infamous HDR+ software feature that further improves the quality of photos it takes. You get some really stunning photos with the Pixel 2 smartphones. The video is pretty good as well, as the phones can record 4K video up to 30fps, and slow motion video at 720p up to 240fps.

If you’re interested in recording slow motion videos with your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, then we’ve got a pretty simple guide on how to do so. You don’t really need a guide, to be honest, but here’s one anyway.
