The Sony Xperia Z5 was recently updated to firmware version 32.2.A.5.11. The update included November security patch and some other fixes for the device.

However, if you didn’t update to the latest firmware thinking it might break root access on your Xperia Z5 Dual E6683, developer chinmoy32 over at xda has a pre-rooted firmware available for the device with added features.

The Firmware is customized but is mostly stock except for the following features added with the help of a custom kernel (which is to be installed separately):

  • Dm-Verity OFF
  • Sony RIC OFF
  • TWRP 3.0.2 installed [With my modified WHITE Theme, Blue LED etc]
  • BUSYBOX installed
  • SuperUS 2.78 SR3 installed (it means fully rooted kernel)
  • DRM fix installed (just flash your backed up device key FTF via flashtool)
  • NO XPOSED FX installed (flash it from TWRP after sometimes, fully compatible with v87)

Grab the Xperia Z5 firmware 32.2.A.5.11 and the pre-rooted kernel from the XDA thread over here.

Happy Androiding!
