Google is rolling out a new update for the Play Store right now. The latest version 8.4.40 of the Play Store is now available for download for some users. In case it isn’t available on your device, you can directly download the APK down below.

The previous update to the Play Store brought some minor changes to the app. There were some signs of a new Notifications section within the app. Some users are already seeing the new changes, but this section is still not fully developed by Google.

Play Store v8.4.40 is rolling out in stages, and you may not even know when the app updates itself in the background. We will do a proper tear-down of the app and see if there’s anything new. For now, we have installed the update and have not noticed any changes in UI or any new features.

It may take up to a week, or sometimes even more, for the Play Store update to be available for you. Don’t worry though, as we’ve got the APK file for download right now. You can simply install it manually on your device and be up to date.
