Although Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL phones are pretty feature packed devices, but there’s no limit to customization on Android devices. And with Xposed framework it only gets interesting.

However, if you are hoping to install Xposed on Pixel and Pixel XL devices, then it’s simply possible at this time since Xposed doesn’t yet support Android 7.0 Nougat, let alone the Android 7.1 build that Pixel phones run on.

Last we heard from developer rovo59 about the status of Xposed framework for Nougat was that he might start working on bringing Nougat compatibility once more devices are running on Nougat and when he’s done with another project in his hand — systemless Xposed framework.

So for the Pixel and Pixel XL, Xposed is going to take time. Maybe by the end of December or early in January 2017. Either way, once Xposed is available for SDK 24 (which Android 7.0 Nougat runs on), it shouldn’t take long for Google to release support for SDK 25 for Android 7.1 & 7.1.1 release of Nougat.

Pixel runs on Android 7.1 and the current developer preview releases are based on Android 7.1.1. We’ll need Xposed for SDK 25 to get it running on Pixel devices.
