Another day, another phone! That’s how rocking our world of Android is. Every now and then we see an Android device with even greater hardware than the other day. And the latest to join this awesome party is Pantech’s Vega R3.
The Pantech Vega R3 packs a 5.3-inch IPS display and quad core Snapdragon S4 processor. And to top it all off, Pantech has managed to pack a monster battery of 2600mAh too with shot charging time tech.
There are several utility apps also bundled with the phone like ‘best face’ which dynamically chooses the best faces of all the people in a photo to make it happy loving pixel perfect picture, and a ‘mini window’ feature that allows you to open dictionary while you’re watching a movie to look up for words you cannot understand in the subtitles. Pantech’s target customers are mostly (if not all) from non-english countries so that kind of feature can potentially draw consumers attention, and might be useful as well.
Pantech is planning to launch the phone with three carriers in Korea starting this tuesday.
So that was about Pantech’s latest rockstar phone that’s going to sell well and cool in the Korean market. It seems everyone is following Samsung’s steps in this 5-inch+ smartphone market. Yeah, the big kang itself has got a following. However we can all agree to the Galaxy Note series being uniquely Samsung’s own innovation (props for that Sammy!). Anyway, the local competition is playing all of the Samsung’s cards in the same way it played — bring a phone with bigger screen, better processor, better RAM, high MP camera and several utility apps bundled into the phone that attracts a lot of consumers (read all normal consumers). And BOOM. You’ve a killer phone with everything but just not good exteriors, but it covers up in the awesomeness of hardware spec-sheet.
