OnePlus is doing the unthinkable. After the headlining OnePlus 6T update that brings the November 2018 security patch even before Google makes the update available for Pixels, OnePlus is back at it, this time with the older OnePlus 6.

The device is now receiving a new OxygenOS 9.0.2 update that not only upgrades the security patch level to November 2018 but also brings along a bunch of features that launched with the OnePlus 6T. We are talking things like Nightscape and Studio Lighting, but that’s not all.

The new update also adds new navigation gestures, improves About phone UI, adds the ability to launch Google Assistant or any other digital assistant app by simply holding the power button for half a second, and as usual, includes plenty of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Since the OxygenOS 9.0.2 update is available over the air, it will take some time before all OnePlus 6 units get the download notification, so you will have to be a little patient.
