When Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS) technology is inserted into the phone’s kernel, the battery life is enhanced. EAS is found in Pixel and Pixel XL phones.

Once OnePlus 5 gets the EAS technology, it will be able to better manage the cores of the Snapdragon 835 processor and will distribute each task more efficiently. The last update received by OnePlus 5 brought fixes for the “911 reboot” issue and arrived as OxygenOS 4.5.6.
