OTA Update for Galaxy S3 is Out. In Fact, Two of Them!

Samsung has released the first ever OTA update for the Galaxy S3, just about 2 weeks after the launch of the device. There are two updates in fact that are rolling out, as the guys at Slash Gear apparently noticed a second update notification after their Galaxy S3 had finished installing the first update.

Both the updates have a common (and very short) changelog: “Improved stability”. While doesn’t sound like much, it’s at least an update and an indication of Samsung’s dedication to keeping things running well for their 2012 quad-core flagship.

To manually check for the update (in case you didn’t already get the notification), go to Settings » About phone on the phone and click the Software update button. Do let us know if you notice any changes or differences after updating.

    1. Wow, that’s really cool. A 200MB available free RAM addition (or allocation, actually) by an update is awesome.
