While Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge users in other countries have received Nougat update, Optus Australia users have not been so lucky regarding Nougat update.
Last month, we gave you an update regarding Nougat for the said two devices. While Note 5 Nougat testing was complete at that time, it was anticipated that Galaxy S6 Edge Nougat would be delayed. However, looks like we were wrong.
Check out: Android Oreo Settings guide
According to Optus website, Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge both will receive Nougat update by September end. Both the devices are currently on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. We will update you once the Nougat build starts rolling out.
It’s really sad that while Android Oreo is out in the world, flagship users are still getting Nougat update and that too 7.0 only. Meh!
Anyway, once Nougat update is out, it would bring features such as split mode, better battery management, easier navigation of settings and other things.
