It’s only been a few weeks since Oppo announced the R11 and R11 Plus and now the former device has finally made it out into the open after a really long wait. The smartphone has already gained tons of fans with registrations going through the roof. The Chinese OEM has been pushing the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus really hard and all the effort may have finally paid off.

The R11 is being offered at 2999 Yuan ($440) in China. Plus, you also get an extended six month warranty for no cost at all. The smartphone is available in four color variants: Gold, Rose Gold, Heat Red and Black. The Heat Red variant is being sold in partnership with French cosmetic brand Guerlain and is priced at 3199 Yuan ($470).

Oppo R11 is a duly spec’d smartphone with state of the art internals which in turn justify the price tag. The smartphone features a 5.5 1080p display, 4GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 660 SoC and a 3000mAh battery. The camera is where the spotlight is, with device flaunting a 20MP+16MP dual camera on the back and a 20MP selfie camera.

The device ships with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and overall, Oppo has put together a formidable device. We don’t have a solid grasp on when the device will start retailing outside China, but given the initial success of the smartphones they’re bound to arrive soon.
