Oppo F3 launching in India on May 4

After the release of selfie expert Oppo F3 Plus in India last month, the Chinese OEM is gearing up to introduce its sibling the Oppo F3 in the country next month. Oppo has officially announced that it will be bringing the new #SelfieExpert Oppo F3 to India on May 4th.

Marketing it as the new trend setter of group selfie, the new Oppo phone, as its older Plus friend, is targeted at the camera phone lovers. As you must have guessed, the main highlight of the Oppo F3 will be its dual selfie camera of 16MP+8MP resolution (as already seen in Oppo F3 Plus). The 16MP front camera comes with 76.4-degree wide-angle lens allowing users to click single selfies while the other 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens is for group selfies. The rear camera will boast of 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with dual-tone LED flash and f/1.7 aperture.

Unlike its premium variant, Oppo F3 will sport a comparatively 5.5 inch screen. Other features should remain intact which will include 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top of the display. The phone will be powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Other features include a front fingerprint scanner with a ‘hydrophobic membrane’ enabling it to respond to wet fingers. The battery on board should be slightly less than the 4000mAH found in Oppo F3 Plus, considering the comparatively smaller display. But the VOOC Flash Charge which will come along with it will prove to be an added advantage.

At this point, the pricing and color details are obscure. But as Oppo F3 Plus was released with a price tag of Rs 30,990, we believe the   Oppo F3 cost will hover below that.

  1. so the only difference is the screen size, that’s great for those people who r in search of a good selfie smartphone under 30k but avoiding F3 plus due to it’s 6″ screen!! now that the 5.5″ varient is here Oppo should expect a good sell after t’s launch in India!! a tough competition to Vivo V5 plus..

  2. For 30k I would’ve expected higher specs .Lots of phones are starting to get a curved display slowly . I don’t know if thats a good or bad decision by them

  5. They are pushing the selfie marketing pretty hard. Dual front cameras is bold indeed. Targeting the very specific set of people who look to use the phone for selfies more than photos in general. I wouldn’t be sold on this but many people might.
