With the Oppo F3 and F3 Plus, you have a pretty capable front facing camera that sports dual sensors, that as much clicks great selfies and much is for the gimmick. Anyway, while both Oppo F3 and F3 Plus are great handsets, they let you down a bit in typical fashion when it comes to software, as Oppo launched them with Android Marshmallow. [Update: The devices have been updated to Android Nougat.]
You know, the Android 7.0 Nougat update was already more than 9 months when Oppo released the F3 and F3 Plus, and you’d expect a company’s their ambition to come out with the latest software. Heck, they do not care to even update their devices Nougat, let alone Oreo update.
Google released the Oreo update back in August, and right now, only a few devices are powered by it. You have Google’s own Nexus and Pixel sets on one hand, and Sony’s Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact on the other, that come with Android 8.0 pre-installed.
Will Oppo F3 and F3 Plus get Oreo update?
Device | Android 6.0 Marshmallow | Android 7.0 Nougat Update | Android 8.0 Oreo Update |
Oppo F3 | Pre-installed | Released | Not expected |
Oppo F3 Plus | Pre-installed | Released | Not expected |
As there has been no confirmation from Oppo as regards Oreo update, we do not think the Oppo F3 and F3 Plus would receive Android 8.0 OTA.
