Open Beta 15 and Beta 7 for OnePlus 6 and 6T brings improved photo editor, UI optimizations, and more

root OnePlus 6T

OnePlus has a new update for each of OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users taking part in the Open Beta testing program for the global OxygenOS ROM.

The latest version for OnePlus 6 is Open Beta 15 while the newer OnePlus 6T is receiving Open Beta 7. Despite the differences in software version, the changelog is the same in both cases, but keep in mind that this 6T update has nothing to do with the T-Mobile variant.

According to the changelog, the updates tag along UI optimizations to screenshots and the Phone app, improve the photo editor, and add permissions migration for apps to OnePlus Switch.

Here is the full changelog:

  • Screenshot UI optimizations
  • Improved photo editor
  • Improved color adaptation for cards in the shelf (Launcher)
  • Supported permissions migration for applications (OnePlus Switch)
  • More detailed weather alerts
  • Weather timeline now mirrors the system time format
  • UI optimizations for the Phone app
  • General bug fixes and improvements

Again, these updates are meant for beta testers of OxygenOS and not the stable version, but you can always switch to the beta version using guides at the end of the linked posts below.
