OnePlus is already India’s third ranked brand in premium smartphone segment

It goes without saying that Apple and Samsung lead the market share in India as far as premium smartphones go. There was a fierce competition among other smartphone vendors like LG, HTC, Sony, and the like for the next three spots a couple of years ago.

But then, Chinese smartphone vendors slowly started to enter into the equation. And, cut to now, OnePlus has already managed to secure the third rank in the premium smartphone segment in India leaving behind LG, HTC, and Sony according to the data released by CMR.

Followed by OnePlus are Lenovo and Sony who occupy 4th and 5th positions respectively. Now, this comes as no surprise taking into account the huge success of last year’s OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

In fact, the OnePlus 3T is still considered to be the best value-for-money flagship handset in India. This could change soon as OnePlus is gearing to launch its next flagship handset dubbed the OnePlus 5.

And, if the recent rumors are to be taken seriously, the OnePlus 5 looks like a steal deal. It entirely depends on the pricing now.
