Changelog: Besides bringing an upgrade to Android 9, the Open Beta 1 OTA also brings a bunch of OnePlus customization features.
Also included in Open Beta 1 is support for accent color customization, new gaming mode (version 3.0), new DND mode with adjustable settings, and additions of text notification mode and notification for 3rd party calls.

OnePlus states that your device might show the ‘Device is not Certified by Google’ warning in the Play Store, but that’s fine, while Google Pay is not supported on Android Pie yet. Some other apps may not function as they should, but this is a set of risks usually associated with a beta program, whether that be of OnePlus, or any other Android OEM — speaking of which, Huawei’s Android 9 beta program is underway too for as many as nine Huawei phones.
