OnePlus Open Beta program often gets frequent updates with new features and system optimizations and the latest is targeting the duo of OnePlus 6 and 6T.

Open Beta 14 is now available for OnePlus 6 while the 6T is receiving Open Beta 6. Both updates have the same changelog that includes a new Android security patch for March 2019, improvements to the lock screen interface and improved sensitivity for screen rotation.

Like the Open Beta updates being rolled out to OnePlus 5 and 5T, users of the 6 and 6T will also be able to select contact groups for sending SMS after installing Beta 14 and 6, respectively.

It’s worth noting that this update is meant for the unlocked/international OnePlus 6T and not the T-Mobile variant, which also received an update of its own not long ago. Both updates are available over the air, so be patient since OTA updates may take several days to reach all units.

The two Open Beta updates are based on Android 9 Pie, although it shouldn’t be long before one or both devices join the upcoming Android Q beta program.
