OnePlus 5 users are currently receiving a new software update via OTA. This isn’t the Oreo update, or the Open beta, but a stable build of Android Nougat with some bug fixes and improvements.
The OxygenOS 4.5.15 OTA brings the October Android security patch, which is kind of old now. Still, a security update is important nevertheless. The update also includes improvements to GPS, and other bug fixes.
Common OnePlus 5 Oreo beta problems and fixes
As per the changelog, an issue with the phone not accepting custom ringtones, has been fixed. Also, if you use Bitmoji, you may have encountered issues with sharing of emoji. This has been fixed as well. And, that’s about it.
The update is being rolled out incrementally, which means that if you don’t get it today, you will get it in the next few days. OnePlus is yet to release a stable version of Android Oreo for the OnePlus 5 and 5T, but Open beta build for the OnePlus 5 is available.
