The OnePlus 5 has been leaked in a press render this week, but OnePlus has now confirmed the phone is indeed its next foray into the smartphone space.
The company took to Twitter to not only reiterate the OnePlus 5 launch date that it provided at its website a few days back, but also to show off the dual cameras we’ve been seeing in so many photo leaks over the last few weeks as well as in camera shots. The leaked OnePlus 5 box confirms the same, as it will be the first thing buyers see when the handset is delivered to their doorstep.
The company wrote “Dual Camera. Clearer Photos” beside the OnePlus 5 image on cover, with an emphasis on photography. This isn’t a surprise, since OnePlus has also said it is teaming up with mobile photography expert DxOMark for its OnePlus 5 camera performance.
The OnePlus 5 specs have been leaked by way of benchmarking site AnTuTu, showing the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and a Full HD display instead of a Quad HD display. Keeping the lights on will be a 3,300mAh battery.
