First off, both the handsets now get a new launcher along with support for Nougat’s app shortcuts. The app drawer, as well as the UI for launcher settings, get a redesign.
There’s a new status bar icon option which displays the real time network speed. Also, there’s a Do Not Disturb mode for gaming now. Akin to Apple’s Night Shift, the OnePlus 3 and 3T users get a Night Mode which reduces the emission of blue light from your smartphone’s screen during night.
Other additions include Notification Denoising, a new Secure Box for encrypting files, and improvements in contacts management along with linking and merge functionalities. Also, there’s a quick pay option now for Indian users.
Further, the company has optimized the touch latency issues as well as the EIS on camera for video recording.
