Nvidia has just outed a minor update to its devices, the Nvidia Shield Tablet, and Shield Tablet K1 which brings the software version number to 5.1 from 5.0.

Given the fact that the company had rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update (with software version number 5.0) for the tablets mentioned above only last month, there are no significant additions except for a few bug fixes in the new software update.

Although Nvidia didn’t shed any light on the specifics, it did mention that the update contains important system enhancements and bug fixes which includes a fix for Launcher3 crashes. The update also has a fix for the issue where the mouse cursor intermittently appears during keyboard input.

Alongside the bug fixes, the update brings along system stability improvements.

The changes described above are applicable to both the Nvidia Shield Tablet and Shield Tablet K1. So, if you own any of these tablets, go on, check for the update in Settings and install it. Speaking of which, the update is being pushed as an OTA, so expect the update to hit your device anytime now.
