While the international variant of the Moto Z Play started receiving its Nougat update in January, Verizon’s exclusive Moto Z Play Droid is now finally ready for the latest update.
The software version NDNS25.137-24-1-2 will be rolling out today and will be available via OTA. The aforesaid update adds various features which are mentioned below.

Seeing as it is a major update, we recommend our readers to create a backup of data on device, sufficiently charge the device, and use a Wi-Fi connection to download the update.
If the OTA has not reached you yet, Go to Settings > About Phones > System Updates > Yes I’m In. Once the installation has finished, your device will automatically restart and will be running the latest Android update.
