HMD Global unveiled its first set of Nokia-labeled smartphones at the MWC 2017 event back in February. However, none of those handsets made it to the Asian market yet. That could change soon, though as a Nokia handset with the model number TA-1034 paid a visit to POSTEL, a Vietnamese certification site.

A couple of months ago, Nokia 3 with the model number TA-1032 had been cleared by Bluetooth SIG. This could mean that the Nokia TA-1034 is none other than Nokia 5.

For the unaware, the Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch HD display with a layer of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass over it. The smartphone has Snapdragon 430 SoC under-the-hood.

When it comes to memory, there’s 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 256GB. At 13MP sensor rests at the back for imaging with an 8MP sensor at the front for selfies.

The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The Nokia 5 alongside the other Nokia handsets are expected to hit the Indian market sometime next month, as per the leaks.
