Nokia 9 is a the true flagship from the company that we’ve been missing so far. While it was always expected to be powered by latest and greatest in specs, so far, the device was only spotted running Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS in the leaks.
Today, that changes. We just spotted the Nokia 9 running on Android 8.0.0. The screenshot you see above comes from the GFXbench listing, which has now been updated to include build Android 8.0.0. Given Nokia Oreo update plans, it’s hardly surprising that they have a build already available for the Nokia 9.
The above basically means that Nokia 9 has its own Oreo update neared worked down, as the company’s software team is right now testing the Android 8.0 build on Nokia 9, which explains the update on why the GFXbench listing.
Nokia hasn’t revealed its target release date for the Nokia 9 yet, so it all depends on how soon we’re going to see the device hit the markets that it would be pre-installed with Oreo update, or receive the Android 8.0 as an OTA. Later the release is, more is the chance that we will see Nokia 9 rock Android 8.0 update right off the bat.

The rumor has been that it would sport a bezel-less display of a size 5.5-5.7″ size, and will be powered by current-best Snapdragon 835 processor, assisted by 6/8GB of RAM and cool 128GB of storage, that will be further expandable via an addition of microSD card slot. It won’t disappoint you in imaging department either, as you can expect it to feature — at the least — the same dual camera setup of 13MP sensors at the back.
Until the Nokia 9 is official, take all this with a grain of salt, but keep watching this space for more.
