Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 which were announced in Feb, at this year’s MWC are still not available globally. However, HMD Global, the firm behind the new Nokia handsets is launching it in new countries almost every month.
Now it’s time for South Africa to shake hands with Nokia (again). Again because the third device that was launched along with Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, Nokia 3 is already available in South Africa for ZAR 1,999 ($154). Now, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will be available for purchase in South Africa by July end, a report suggests. The devices are currently available in Malaysia, India, and UK among other countries.

Talking about the price, both the devices will be priced below ZAR 4,000 ($307). While the recommended retail price of Nokia 6 is ZAR 3,699 ($284), Nokia 5 will cost ZAR 2,999 ($230)
Both the devices run on Android Nougat with no bloatware, which provides the true experience of stock Android.
About the specifications, the Nokia 6 has a full HD 5.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 16 MP primary camera. On the other hand, Nokia 5 features 5.2 inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Further, HMD Global recently confirmed that the three devices, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, would be upgraded to Android 8.0 (O).
