It was only lately that Google began rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update to some of the high end devices in the market. Within a few weeks, there is information suggesting that yet another software version is in the pipeline.
Well, the upcoming version is the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and a Nexus 9 and a Wi-Fi variant of the Nexus 7 (2013) model were spotted running on this software version on Google’s Android Audio Latency information page. The Nexus 9 is runs on a version with the build number LMY47S and the Wi-Fi Nexus 7 (2013) seems to have the build number LMY47W.
There is no clear information on when this Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update will see an official rollout. But, we can expect it to start seeding in the coming days as Google is showing off the new version on its own website. Also, there are no leaks or speculations suggesting what this update will bring to the tablet, though it is known to come with some bug fixes that are in need.
The Wi-Fi Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 were the last Nexus devices that received the Android 5.1 update. The Nexus 7 got it a few days back and Nexus 9 is stuck on Android 5.0 Lollipop that it was preinstalled with.
