We all know a 32GB model of the Nexus 7 is confirmed to be launched in the near future for the same price as the 16GB model, and we also saw the price of the latter being reduced to just $200 at retailer Office Depot. Now, the Nexus 7 16GB is listed as “coming soon” on the Google Play Store, which most probably means that it will come back with an officially reduced price tag later on.
With the 32GB model coming soon (supposedly with 3G connectivity), this is quite normal and a welcome move because frankly, the 8GB variant of the Nexus 7 was just not worth it, even with the affordable $199 price tag. Of course, recent buyers of the 8GB Nexus 7 will be quite angry at the price drop of the 16GB variant, but at least new customers won’t have much to complain regarding the readjusted price of Google’s affordable powerhouse of a tablet.
