A new update is rolling out for HTC devices today, and the list includes Desire Eye in India, Desire 826 in Taiwan (model no. e826y), and lastly the One Mini in Europe. What all have in common is Stagefright fix, but their size varies a lot naturally.
The Indian HTC Desire Eye is on the receiving end of 118.11 MB update that would take care of very critical bug on found on Android OS, Stagefright – -and will also update the software version of the device to 2.19.707.3.
While, the Desire 826 in Taiwan bags the biggest of the lot, 470.36 MB package of an update, with new software version being 1.17.709.8. Lastly, One Mini in Europe gets some 78.64 MB which ups the software version of the device to 4.14.401.2.
If you own any of the above mentioned devices, then you should be receiving an update soon, or already if you are lucky to be picked up by the company ahead of others. If not, then try to force the update from Settings > About device > Software updates, and tap on ‘check for update’ button.
