Here is an interesting smartphone from an unheard company that was showcased at CES 2018. It’s called the Moviphone and it has a built in projector. Now, that’s nothing new really, but what is interesting is the way the projector is placed inside the phone.
At first glance, you wouldn’t be able to tell that this phone had a projector. The phone is made by a company called Wireless Mobi Solutions that’s based in San Diego. This is a mid-range Android smartphone with some decent specifications, but that’s not the selling point of the device.
The design of the Moviphone is similar to several other Android smartphones and even has an all metal body. The 50 Lumens projector is placed at the top of the device and sits flush. It will project an image up to 100 inches in size with a 720p resolution. That’s not bad.
The phone features a MediaTek MT6750V processor, a 720p LCD display, 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, a 4000mAh battery, and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back and a headphone jack at the bottom. You can buy the Moviphone for $599 from the company’s official website.
