It was in the recent news that the Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) would be launched in India soon. Since then, there have been many rumors about the release date. But, the company put an end to all these when it released a teaser yesterday and started sending press invites for the launch of the device. Although Motorola did not announce the phone’s price in India; it posted a video on YouTube which clearly states that 3G variant will be available in the Indian market for INR 6,999.
As for the 4G model of the phone, there are no details available on its launch yet. The invite sent out by Motorola said – “Mark March 10 on your calendar” – confirming the release date of the phone. The Lenovo-owned manufacturer revealed that the device would be available on Flipkart exclusively. Moreover, we can confirm this release as Flipkart recently posted about its Motorola product on Twitter. “There’s a Moto beast coming your way… exclusively on Flipkart. Stay tuned for more details”, it tweeted.
As for the specifications of the device, it features a 4.5 inch QHD (960x540p) display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor (S200 in 3G and S410 in 4G version). The phone is equipped with 1GB of RAM, backed by a 2390mAh battery, runs on Android 5.0 and has a 5MP rear camera along with a VGA front shooter. Also, it has 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card slot.
Motorola has always been trying to set itself apart from other phone makers by selling devices at a much cheaper price compared to the other manufacturers. Also, the company’s products are quite reliable.
