Motorola just publicly let know what devices are gonna get Marshmallow update sooner or later, also implying indirectly which of its devices won’t get to taste Android 6.0.

Talking about the devices making the cut, we have some obvious Moto sets like Moto X 3rd Gen and 2nd Gen all over the world, same for Moto G and other top tier phones like Droid Turbo and Moto Maxx, and then there is the most obvious one, the Nexus 6, which will get the update first of all as an OTA right from Google itself.

So, the Motorola Moto device all set to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update are:

  • Moto X 3rd Gen (includes X Style and X Pure 3rd Gen)
  • Moto X 2nd Gen (includes Moto X Pure 2nd Gen, and Moto X 2nd Gen world over)
  • Moto X Play
  • Moto G 2nd Gen (includes regular Moto G2, and Moto G 4G LTE, came in 2015)
  • Moto G (3rd gen)
  • DROID Turbo
  • Moto MAXX
  • Moto Turbo
  • Nexus 6

No Moto E? WHAT? Well, yes, no Moto E. Not even the 3rd Gen Moto E. But let’s not forget what Motorola says. Which is, that this is their right-now plan, Which we hopefully would later-on include Moto E and Moto 360 (Both 1st Gen and 2nd Gen).

Let’s see how it goes. If Moto does ditches you Moto E owners, don’t worry, we have your back covered. After all, you do have amazing custom ROMs available right now that Would surely see a day in Android 6.0, and tat will be your ticket to Marshmallow and S’more!
